St. Charles, MO - December 5, 2024
On December 4, seven Junior Youth of the Year participants from the O’Fallon and St. Charles Units volunteered at Marcy’s Project, a vital resource providing aid to individuals and families in crisis or emergency situations across St. Charles County.
The youth sorted over 25 bags of donated clothing at Marcy’s Project, which provides free clothing, shoes, accessories, personal hygiene products, cleaning supplies, household items, and paper products to families in need through Marcy’s Market.
The Junior Youth of the Year program celebrates Club members ages 10 to 13 who demonstrate exemplary leadership, academic success, and commitment to community service. Locally sponsored by Zach Plackemeier State Farm Agency and nationally supported by Toyota and Kohl’s Cares, the program equips participants with vital career and life skills while fostering confidence and a sense of responsibility.
Through community service initiatives like this, Junior Youth of the Year participants learn to become compassionate leaders and active citizens. These opportunities inspire them to take on challenges, contribute to their communities, and grow into empowered individuals ready to make a difference.
