St. Charles, MO - October 28, 2024

Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Charles County (BGCSTC) proudly announces that its Board of Directors has achieved the prestigious Gold Level recognition in League of E.A.G.L.E.S. Recognition Program. The award was presented on October 23 at the Midwest Leadership Conference in Milwaukee, WI, celebrating BGCSTC’s board engagement and commitment to empowering young people to achieve their full potential.

League of E.A.G.L.E.S. program is an elite recognition for Boys & Girls Clubs organizations that demonstrate exceptional board performance across six key standards: ENGAGE (attendance at board meetings), ASK (making face-to-face solicitations), GIVE (contributing personal gifts), LEAD (strategic planning), EVALUATE (performance evaluation), and SERVE (committee or task force involvement). Through consistent engagement, BGCSTC's Board exemplifies excellence in these areas, ensuring that the organization continues to be Better, Bigger & Bolder for the youth it serves.

Board President Mark Schoene and Vice President Robert Cornejo attended the conference to accept the award on behalf of the Board. Speaking on the honor, Schoene expressed, “This recognition highlights the dedication and active role our board members play in strengthening Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Charles County. Our goal is to provide unwavering support for the young people in our community, and we are committed to leading with excellence.”

The Gold Level League of E.A.G.L.E.S. award allows BGCSTC’s Board members to share their expertise and passion with Boys & Girls Clubs across the Movement. This accolade is not only a testament to the Board's leadership but also to the impact of their engagement on the lives of young people in the St. Charles community. Karen Englert, CEO of BGCSTC, applauded the board’s achievement, stating, “We are incredibly proud of our board for earning this high level of recognition. Their commitment to the youth in our community, along with their dedication to our mission, continues to be a driving force for the impactful work we do every day.”
