Boys and Girls Clubs of St. Charles County has been approved for the YOP Tax Credit Program through the Missouri Department of Economic Development (Authorization Sections 135.460 and 621.1100 to 620.1102, RSMo) in the amount of $168,685. These funds will directly support the Members of the Boys & Girls Clubs, by contributing to the staffing and development of new and existing programs.

WIN #2:  Local Youth Benefit from Reading, Math, Healthy Living & STEM Programs

The funds earned from this program will help support the Club’s academic programming, primarily in reading and math, as well as STEM enrichment opportunities for members age six to eighteen years old. Funds will also help expand healthy lifestyles programming including opioid use prevention and conflict resolution. The ultimate goal is to discourage youth from engaging in criminal and violent behavior and foster alternative, more positive outlets in the community to support their character development.

WIN #3:  Donors Have Less Out-of-Pocket Expense to Contribute to the Community

This Tax Credit Opportunity allows donors to provide more direct financial support with less out-of-pocket cost.  This means Donors who contribute $1,000 or greater can qualify for up-to 50% tax credits on monetary contributions and 30% tax credits for property or equipment contributions.  Donations can include contributions of $100,000 annually in cash, credit card, stocks or bonds at any time of the year, or in conjunction with a fundraising event such as the Crystal Ball or Golf Tournament.
