Grants & Development Associate
As the Grants & Development Associate, Sarah Knight (they/them) works with the Director of Resource Development to coordinate grant writing and development efforts in support of the BGCSTC’s programs through research, tracking, reporting and programmatic outcome evaluation. Sarah’s goals as the Grants Associate are to ensure that the Club’s existing and new programmatic initiatives have funding to continue supporting youth in a thriving, healthy community.
Committed to supporting youth in becoming creative, confident, and compassionate individuals, Sarah has a background as an art teacher, program manager, and non-profit administration professional that began as an Americorps/Public Allies member in 2014. Sarah has worked with many regional art organizations as a program specialist both before and after graduating with a Master’s degree in Visual Art from Washington University in St. Louis in 2020. They bring a deep understanding of non-profit grant administration and youth programs to BGCSTC’s development team.
Sarah is an active member of the greater St. Louis non-profit community, serving as an advisor and educator. In addition to grant coordination at BGCSTC, Sarah maintains an active art practice and is a ceramics Instructor at Maryville University. They currently live in the St. Louis area near their family and enjoy all things outdoors, powerlifting, working in their art studio, and going to local art festivals and exhibits.
