What is the Boys & Girls Club?

The Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Charles County (BGCSTC) is an organization dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment for kids during the hours after school where supervision and structured activities are often lacking. Affiliated with the national Boys & Girls Clubs of America organization, we operate two great Club units in St. Charles County. BGCSTC offers a range of activities to interest any child, including: educational programs, computer labs, arts and crafts, sports programs and so much more!

We exist in order to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.”

How long has the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Charles County been serving youth?

We have been serving young people in the St. Charles community for over 60 years! The original Club was founded in 1955 and a dedicated Club building was built in 1962. In 1992, a second unit opened to serve the youth of O’Fallon and St. Peters. In June 2014, the St. Charles Unit moved into its current location on Lindenwood Avenue. This new, 28,000 square feet facility, has increased our capacity to serve additional youth and offer many more programs.

Where are the Clubs located?

The St. Charles Unit is located at 1211 Lindenwood Avenue in St. Charles, MO. The O’Fallon Unit is located at #1 Club Way, in St. Peters, MO, off Aspen Pointe Drive and Mexico Road. More detailed information can be found HERE.

When are the Clubs open?

The St. Charles Unit follows the St. Charles School District calendar and is open Monday – Thursday from 2:30 – 8:00 PM and Fridays from 2:30 – 6:00 PM during the school year. The O’Fallon Unit follows the Ft. Zumwalt School District calendar and is open Monday – Thursday from 2:30 – 7:00 PM and Friday from 2:30 – 6:00 PM during the school year. Weekends we are only open for sports leagues or special programs. Special hours are announced for school holidays and summer programming.

Who does the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Charles County serve?

The Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Charles County serves over 1100 youth from St. Charles and the surrounding counties through our different programs and activities each year. Most of our members’ families have annual household incomes of $25,000 or less and/or live in a single-parent household.

What does it cost to be a member?

Annual Membership is only $25.00 per year. Some programs have additional fees. Families enrolled in Medicaid can get their fees paid through those agencies.

How do I sign up my child for the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Charles County?

Download or stop by either Club to complete the Membership Application and return it, your child’s birth certificate, recent report card, and the $25.00 membership fee or Medicaid voucher.

Is the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Charles County affiliated with any other agencies or organizations?

Along with being a member in good standings with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Charles County is a member of the United Way of Greater St. Louis, and a contracted agency of the Community and Children’s Resource Board of St. Charles County. BGCSTC is also a proud member of the Community Council of St. Charles and the Greater St. Charles Chamber of Commerce. We also run programs in partnership with other outside agencies or organizations such as St. Charles Parks and Recreation, Lindenwood University, Lutheran Family Services, Boy Scouts, and Girls Scouts.

Where does funding come from?

Funding for Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Charles comes from a variety of sources including private, corporate, and government grants; generous community support through direct contributions; special events; and support from the United Way of Greater St. Louis.

85 cents of every dollar we receive goes directly to programs and services for the members we serve.

Does the Boys & Girls Club of St. Charles County need donations other than money?

Yes. Boys & Girls Club of St. Charles County accepts donations of merchandise, equipment, resources and services. We need people with connections in almost every profession – from public relations to plumbing, from carpentry to crafts, from special educational and career programs to healthcare services, just to name a few.

Does the Boys & Girls Clubs need volunteers?
