Join Us After School

We know this is anything but a typical school year. The Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Charles County (BGCSTC) is focused on helping during this new “Back to School” period and appreciate those who provided helpful feedback.

The plans (outlined below) may be changed and updated based on a variety of factors including County Health Department recommendations and partner-school district adjustments. 

PLEASE NOTE, ALL MEMBERS AND STAFF WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR MASKS AT ALL TIMES WHEN IN THE BUILDINGS.

After School Program: All active members can participate in an in-person after school program at both locations as they have historically done including daily meals*. Regular programs and services will be provided. Annual memberships are $25 per year per member (ages 6-18).

  • Available at both our St. Charles and O’Fallon Units.
  • Clubs are open from 2:30-7:00 pm M-Th and 2:30-6:00 pm on Fridays.
  • Start Date for St. Charles Unit: August 27, 2020
  • Start Date for O’Fallon Unit: August 31, 2020

*Club members and staff are always expected to wear face masks (provided by families), maintain social distancing, and have daily temperature checks before entering the building. These procedures (along with cleaning and sanitation measures) were put into place during our summer program and will continue. We may have to take additional precautions as well.

Drop-In Program – NEW this year: Members can attend their home unit on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week for full days in which they will participate in-person at the Club*. We will use these days to support families in their virtual learning, meals, and physical activity.

  • As this is outside of the scope of our normal programming, additional fees will be assessed. Please note, our staff are not Certified Teachers.
  • The Drop-In Program will start at both locations on Tuesday, September 1, 2020.
  • Each unit will require a minimum of 20 members per week to operate the Drop-In Program.
  • Units will open at 7:30 am on Tuesdays and Thursdays for members who are current on all fees. Members can stay for the full day.

Pilot Period: Advance Registration Rate: $30 per child per week

Pilot Period: At-the-Door Registration Rate: $40 per child per week

All members are encouraged to participate in the virtual learning we provide as part of their annual membership. Program schedules vary by location. No additional fees.

The After School program also includes a variety of Youth Sports Programs which are typically offered between 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the evenings. Participation in these activities requires separate registration, additional practice schedules, weekend game schedule, and additional fees. Check the Club Calendar or contact each Unit for updates all After School and Youth Sports activities.

Club Closure Schedule

Please make note of the following Staff Training Days or Holiday Schedule when the Club will be closed or will be closing early through the end of 2020.  We ask you note these days and  plan ahead for alternate arrangements for your children. Please note this schedule may have to be adjusted based on COVID-19.

  • December 31st – Clubs Close at 2 pm

After School Registration, Fees & Information


Registration Fees & Transportation Information

Annual Membership – $25 per Member

Participation in our After School program requires Membership with The Club. Complete the Membership Application then pay for Annual Membership Dues through the Payment Portal for your specific Club Location:  St. Charles  or O’Fallon .

Drop-In Program – New this School Year:

  •  $30 per member per week (advance payment)
  • $40 per member per week if paying day-of
  • Full day-programs on Tuesdays and Thursdays to support virtual learners.
  • Pilot period (September 1 – October 1, 2020)
  • Drop-In Program fees may increase in October based on staffing needs.

ID Replacement Fee – $2.00 per Card

Each Member will receive an ID Card.  Members are required to have their ID to get access to The Club.  A $2.00 replacement fee will be charged (per card) if lost.

No School Day Early Bird Drop-Off

For those special days when there is No School, we offer Early Bird Drop-Off Hours from 8:00 am – 10:00 am at our O’Fallon Unit and 8:00 am-12:00 pm at our St Charles Location.  Please make arrangements for those days through the front-desk staff of your Club. Members must be signed up in advance for staffing purposes. 

  • $10 per Member for Pre-Registration
  • $15 per Member for Day Of

Transportation from School

With prior registration, Members can arrange to be picked-up from the following schools by our Club Transport.  To learn more about our Transportation service, please review our Transportation Policy.  

St. Charles Unit

Null, Monroe, Orchard Farm, and Discovery Elementary

  • $25 per Member per Week
  • $10 per additional Sibling per Week
  • Registration is first come, first serve.

Hardin, Jefferson, Blackhurst, and Coverdell

  • 20 members per school have space on these school buses. Member families MUST sign up through BGCSTC and we provide the lists to the schools. Registration is first come, first serve. No additional fees apply.

O’Fallon Unit:  Progress South Elementary, South Middle School, Ft. Zumwalt South High School – coordinate directly with Fort Zumwalt. No additional fees. 

Advance Registration for Transportation Fees (if applicable) must be complete with payment the Friday before or a $10 Late Fee will be accessed. To participate in after-school pick-up from one of these schools, please complete the Transportation Registration Form and return to the Staff with your payment for this service at your designated Club.  You can also make an online payment through the Payment Portal for your specific Club Location:  St. Charles  or O’Fallon .

Meal Schedule

After School/Early Release Day: 

  • Dinner: 3:30 -4:30 pm for O’Fallon Unit and 4:00 – 5:00 pm for St. Charles Unit

No School Day:

  • Breakfast: 8:00 – 9:00 am (Provided to Members who are registered for the Early Bird Program)
  • Lunch:  12:00 – 1:00 pm
  • Dinner:  4:00 – 5:00 pm

If your child has any food allergies, please pick up the allergy form at the front desk. Peanuts and tree nuts are NOT ALLOWED in the Club. At this time, we are unable to accommodate other dietary restrictions.  Please see The Club handbook for details.


Drop Off & Pick Up

Parents/guardians or authorized persons must use the new curbside pick up and drop off procedure. Staff will greet you outside and get the Member(s) signed in. Additional COVID screening questions will be asked to all parents/guardians and temperatures will be taken before any child enters the building.  Anyone picking up a Member must be on the Member’s approved list and provide photo identification.  The Club doors open at 2:30 p.m. and The Club closes at 7:00 p.m M-Th and 6:00 p.m on Friday.  Please note that clubs may close early if all Members have been picked-up for the day.

Late Pick-Up Fees

We realize that do your best to get here on time; but for those times where traffic or other activities delay your ability to arrive on-time, our staff will stay until you arrive for an added fee.

  • 5-15 Minutes:  $10 Fee
  • 16-30 Minutes: $15 Fee
  • 31 – 45 Minutes: $20 Fee
  • 46 – 60  Minutes: $25 Fee

Late fees must be paid in full before your child may be allowed to participate in Club actiities. For your convenience, prompt payment using Debit/Credit card may be made online using the Payment Portal for your specific Club Location: St. Charles  or O’Fallon .

Emergency Contact Information

Since cell phones and employers can change over the course of the year, please be sure that any updates related to your contact information is provided to the Unit Staff so we have the appropriate emergency contacts if needed.
